I don't think I've posted a thread about this, but it should have been made a long time ago.
Immortal Technique is the best rapper you will ever hear. He remains underground and refuses to sign with any major labels because he claims the record companies prosper and receive most of the money from the marketing schemes.
His music is heavily political and primarily targets injustices America has committed. He's a revolutionary/activist/rapper. If you listen to his music on the surface without actually understanding his cause, you'll think he dislikes America. He has claimed his revolution isn't out of hate but out of love for the people.
Let me just say that I had a FEW things that influenced me to care about Politics, and he's one of them. A friend introduced me to his music when I was in high school. I liked his music but it wasn't until the past year that I considered him the best. The way he drops historical references to support his statements are incredible. I'll post a few songs and interviews below.
I should probably go ahead and make the following statement since some of you might be wondering...or not about the 2Pacaholism I use to have. Tupac is an amazing artist. He got me into rap but I don't consider him neither the best nor my favorite anymore. Immortal Technique tops everyone as an artist. His lyrics, flow, and message are mesmerizing. He's that good.
I went to his concert a couple weeks ago and he wanted everyone to burn a copy of his CD and give it to everyone haha (that's how legit this dude is). If you guys want to download his album hit the following website:
viperrecords.com/
As promised a couple songs and interviews:
viperrecords.com
First one is probably the most famous one. It gave me goosebumps when i first heard it. Still does: Dance With the Devil
This song is heavily political: 3rd World
This one is off his new album (which is incredible btw):
Interviews:
