Outside the genres you listen to (for example (for me) Ska, Reggea, Hardcore ) What do you see as good musc? Early NWA to me is good because they take pride in where they come from, they use simple music with compilicated, well thought out lyrics - which are lyrics rather than speeches which is what Rap these days seems to be all about - and Eazy-E's voice is awesome . I also enjoy alot of swing/jazz although I wouldn't say that I am an enthusiast.

basically if it has a good beat/rhythm then its well on its way to becoming a good piece of music

Music that's smooth, nice instruments blending in, and a song you can relate to and sing to.

I'm not one to sing along so that's not as important to me. It of course, needs a good rhythm and beat. And a nice guitar riff is a major plus.

You never sing along with a song, even to yourself?

^He does, but rarely[More of a joke]
Anyway, I like a nice Bass[As in the instrument, not me], good tune/rhythm, and good lyrics and voice.

Lyrics are a big deal to me. BIG DEAL. They should mean something, not just something they through together because it sounded good. Or something they hired someone to write for them. They could be great that way, but how can they really feel the music if the lyrics aren't even theirs.
A good beat. Wether that be a continuous catchy beat or a sparactic, talented beat.
Then again, I love some songs that mean nothing to me and are terrible. I have different taste than most people, especially kids my age, and I'm okay with that.
I like the Blood Brothers, Bright Eyes, Bloc Party, Damien Rice and Shinedown, yet I find myself singing to Kelly Clarckson. Ha. =]

My favorite type of song is the kind that fills you with energy and makes you want to sing along and jump around. They're usually fast paced and catchy, but some songs do it without explanation. Bohemian Rhapsody for example, everybody sings along to that when it plays. I've also been listeing to alot of MJ and Beach Boys recently.
